Tri Fold Shutter Card

I made this Tri Fold Shutter birthday card for an upcoming card swap at Inky Fun Stampers, one of the Yahoo Groups I belong to.  I like the very colourful papers I used and had fun mixing and matching them.

Once I got the basic card made I added several sentiments, flowers and leaves and a few brads.  Now that I have the card made I need to figure out how to mail it.  I will have to make something to protect the front flowers.

Thank you for stopping by.  Remember my favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” Do something creative for yourself today.

Enjoy a Cup of Christmas Joy

It is a tag challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges this week.  Use a tag on your card or make a Christmas theme tag.  Bugaboo Digi Stamps is the sponsor this week and one lucky person  will win a great prize.  Hope you will join in.

For my card I used a Bugaboo image called, JJ Ornament 'Tis the Season.  I used the directions on Splitcoaststampers for the double diagonal pocket card and two sentiment digis, one from Arty Pants and the other from Crafty Cats Designs.

Both tags after I embossed the snowflakes I rubbed on gold rub on paste to highlight them. To one tag I added the fabric snowflakes that I coloured with gold ink and glittered. The second tag I added a little metal angel to give the tag some interest.

Need inspiration, check out the other design teams creations at Holly Jolly this week.  Thank you for stopping by and do something creative for yourself today.

Frosty the Snowman

Nothing says Christmas to me as a snowman Christmas card and that is the theme at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges this week. .  This jolly snowman is a digital image from I Brake for Stamps.  I love his smile, so sweet.

The swirl background of this card is a sheer napkin fabric in sliver, I thought it gave the card some interest and sparkle.   I next added a layer pattern paper and a snowflake garlands, then to complete the card I added some white pom poms, pearls and ribbon.  I think he looks very festive.

Thank you for stopping to take a look and please join us this week for the snowman challenge at Holly Jolly.

Route 66

My Sherri Crafts challenge this week has the theme of  "Lets Take a Trip" .  Great summer time theme. When I saw the them of the challenge I thought of the Kenny K. digital image I had in my collection.  Thought it would make a good image for this challenge.

I had this pack of travel papers in my stash that were perfect for this card. The Route 66 sign is a free digital from Vintage Printables. I coloured my image with my Copic Markers and added a few sentiments to complete my card.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a creative day.

Collage Challenge - About Time

My turn to pick the challenge this week and on of my favourite type of cards  is collage thus this week is a collage challenge at Come and Get It Challenges.  The idea of the challenge is to create a card that uses three or more images or stamps.

I got carried away and used 13 rubber stamps and two stencils to create my card. I first stenciled the background with acrylic paint then added my time related rubber stamps and two Tim Holtz rubber stamps .  Once I completed my layout I added Diamond Glaze to a couple of the images and used a white gell pen to outline the word time.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will join us this week for the collage challenge at Come and Get It Challenges.

Distressed Stains

I made this Steampunk card for a card swap  at Technique Junkies and I just mailed it off to my partner.  This was a fun technique (June/July issue) where you add three colours of Distress Stains to an embossing folder and then add wet paper and emboss.  I love how the stains react to the water and the card stock.  It is such as soft looking background.

The rubber stamp is by Stampendous and the wheel clogs at by Tim Holtz.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look.

Home for the Holidays

My turn at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges this week to chose the theme of this challenge and I thought it would fun to do a Christmas card with an outdoor theme.

The stamp I used for this challenge is an old stamp from my collection by Stamps Happen, Inc. called "There's no place like home for the holidays".    I added colour to my image with my Copic Markers, glitter pen and white gell pen.  For the snow effect I used Flower Soft then added some red pearls to finish off the card.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope you will join us at Holly Jolly this week.  Stop by our blog and see all of the beautiful cards by created by the design team to inspire you.

Card with Mix Media Background

I made this simple card for a upcoming card swap I joined that required that we use a paper clip on the card.  I used some of the background paper that I created with my gelli plate in greens, yellow and blue.  The Tim Holtz stamp was also stamped papers that I had made playing with some mix media products.

I coloured my ribbon some inks so that it marched the card and found some buttons in my stash to complete the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a Fantastic Day

I made this card for a friend this week using several different techniques. My Fred, She Said Design image of the old truck was printed on dictionary paper and coloured with Copic Markers, then I added Diamond Glaze to the head lights and windows to represent glass.

The background paper was layered with nylon mess drywall tape from my husbands shop. The tabs are a Stampin Up punch and the sentiment stamp is by  A Muse Artstamps.

Hope you enjoy by card and I hope you have a fantastic day.

Christmas Elf

This week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges Meighan chose the challenge, make something with something new from your stash of crafting goodies.   It could be a ribbon, image, embellishment etc.

I had purchased a while ago this digital image from McMahon Five digital images and thought it would be fun to create a Christmas card with it.  I coloured the image with my Copic markers, added  the this Christmas tag from a scrapbook left over , ribbon, diamond glaze to give the ornament some dimension and a pom pom to the end of his Christmas toque.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look.  Drop by the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge site and see the great creations of the rest of the design team have made to inspire you.
