Halloween Blog Hop

Halloween, great time for a Blog Hop at Fitztown.  I had lots of fun making this tag with this cute little witch from the Halloween collection at Fitztown

I started my tag by covering it with some Halloween paper I had in my stash that was covered in velvet bats, then I started layering my tag with a tombstone, die cut RIP letters, fence and moon.

I coloured my image with Copic Markers then added some purple glitter to give her some sparkle. To complete my tag I added the date, a black cat, bats and some coordinating ribbon.

I hope you will join us at the Hop.

Things with Wings Challenge at Fitztown

I made this card for my sister's birthday this month and thought it was a good card for the Fitztown challenge this week, things with wings.   Isn't the stamp I used for this card lovely?  This digital image is part of the Fae collection of stamps by Morgan Fitzsimons and you can see her collection here.

My background paper was created with my Gelli plate.  I used four different stencils to layer the background along with four different colours of acrylic paint. I tried to use similar or complimentary colours when colouring my image with my Copic markers.

Come join the fun at Fitztown with week and check out the new releases of Morgan's images .  Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Haunting Halloween

A Haunting Halloween is the theme at Come and Get it Challenges this week. This is my challenge card. I love Halloween cards.

I used a Cheery Lynn Design die for my step card along with some Halloween paper from my stash. I used a Sizzex tombstone die cut to stamp my RIP stamp from Class Act on. With my Cricut and a die cut I cut out bats and a spider and then added some bugs eye to my spider.  To complete my card I added a sentiment from my stash from Stampin Up tied with a Halloween ribbon.

Thank you for stopping to take a look.

I made this card for a friend to say hello.  I had gone through my stash to use up some scrap paper to make the different layers of the card.   The owl is a rubber stamp from Stampendous .  Both the sentiment and clock are from by stash of unmounted stamps that I have no idea who made them.

Thank you for stopping by.

Fitztown Challenge #11

This is my second card for Challenge 11, using metal on your card at Fitztown.  I chose to use this cute digital image from Fitztown's stardust and pumpkin digi collection for this challenge.  I think he is so sweet with his angel wings and pirate outfit.

I coloured image with both Panpastels and Copic markers and layered it to mix media paper from my stash.  To complete the card I added a sentiment, brads and some metal clogs.  I think the just for you sentiment suits this card because he looks like he has a flower for someone special.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the current challenge. There's still a little time left to play along!

Christmas Thank You

This week's challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge is a " Christmas thank you" .    This could be a card or a little thank you gift.    I decides to do a Christmas theme thank you card.  Lots to be thankful for at Christmas time.

My card is very simple in white with a little gold trim.  I used a Christmas Ornament  die cut along with two Christmas themed embossing folders.  I then added a white ribbon and a couple of pearls and the card was done.

Thanks for stopping by and join us this week at Holly Jolly.

All About the Night

The challenge this week at My Sheri Crafts is "all about the night".  I decided to use this rubber stamp from my collection who the artist name of this this unmounted stamp escapes me for this moment.   I think this stamp theme fits in quite well with the challenge theme.

The card was coloured with Copic Markers and a glitter pen.  The image was cut out with a Nestablities die, layered on top of a fancy cut die and purple glitter paper. The last step was to add some gold glittered stars and a twisted piece of paper cord to finish the card.
Thank you for stopping by today and have a creative day.

Sea Critter Challenge

Great challenge this week at Come and Get It Challenges.  We need to see a sea creature in your card.  What a fun challenge.  Great excuse to use come colour in your art work.

Bugaboo is the sponsor of this challenge and that means some lucky person is going to win a great prize.

My card was made with a fun Bugaboo image called "Make it Snappy, Birthday Fishes".  What a cute image - it brings a smile to your face.  I went crazy and added lots of colour to my card along with, glitter, Diamond Glaze and a ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.  Remember to pop over to the Come and Get It blog and see the cards made by the rest of the design team to inspire you.

Bingo

I joined a swap this month at the Rubber Inkers with the theme of Bingo.  I had this Bingo embossing folder that I thought was perfect for this swap.

The embossed Bingo image was coloured with Distress Inks in several colours.  The rubber stamp I used for the from of the card was a portion of a rubber stamp by Cornish Heritage Farms called GM Series.  I coloured the image also with Distress Inks.

I added some stars, Ephemara papers , arrow brad, mess tape for dry walling (background), ribbon, faux stitches and travel stamps to make up  my collage card.   Hope my swap partner enjoys the card I made them.

Thank you for stopping by tonight and have a creative day.

12 Days of Christmas

Meighan, one of the design team elves at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge  chose the challenge this week.  The challenges theme is "inspired by a Christmas Carol" and I chose to make a book with the theme of 12 days of Christmas.

Several years ago TV Weekly featured Tricia Morris from Club Scrap making a mini book  from CD Literature folders.  The episode was called Pop, Pop, Fizz, Fizz and can be seen of YouTube.   I followed the basic directions to make this Christmas book.

I used a collection of digital images from Bugaboo Digital Images to make this book.  I thought they were cute and perfect for my little book.  I added lots of colours, ribbons, magic mess and glitter to make up the book.

I added the music for the song on one page and put the complete words in an envelope and made a pocket to hold the envelope.

I added on the last page the history of the carol along with a tag to put a greet for the person who I am going to give it to.

Thank for stopping by and have a creative day.  Hope you will join us at Holly Jolly this week.

Fitztown Challenge - Use metal on your card

Another great challenge this week at Fitztown Challenge Blog.  Create a card and use metal somewhere on your card.  I used this lovely image by Morgan Fitzsimons  for this card and coloured her with my Copic markers,

I distressed all my layers with Distress Ink, added a layer of pink lace and a sheer fabric with some sparkle.  This was a fun card to make.  To complete my card I added a silver chiffon ribbon, a metal lock and heart and a sentiment.

Pop on over to Fitztown and see the creations that the other design team members have created to inspire you.  Thank you for stopping by.

Faux Turquoise

What a great technique challenge at Come and Get It this week.  The theme of the college is to use a faux technique of some kind on the card.  On Split Coast Stampers website if you do a search of the word Faux there are 30 techniques listed.

I made this card with some friends and thought it was a great technique for this swap. The technique is called faux turquoise.  The pretty tree is a die cut by Memory Box.

To make the faux turquoise you stamp your turquoise paper with a vein pattern stamp in black and then in sliver.  The next step is to cover the image with Versa mark and emboss with clear UTEE and then repeat the embossing process a second time.  Very simple technique but I think it is very pretty.

Here is a closer look at the technique.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you join us at Come and Get It this week.

Anything Goes with a Twist - Halloween

Here is my first card for this week for the challenge at Fitztown Challenge Blog. I have chosen to make a Halloween card with the Blackthorne image of Last Enchanter Collection for the anything goes with a twist challenge.  Although Blackthorne is not a tradition Halloween image I thought he fit well into this card's theme.

This was a fun card to make with  a combination of digital image, die cuts, rubber stamps, string, brads, Washi tape and Halloween patterned paper.   The sentiment rubber stamp was by Class Act and the Halloween stamps are by Craftsmart.

Come and join us at Fitztown for the challenge this week. Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my creations and have a creative day.
