Life Cycle

I made this card for an upcoming card sketch swap for one of my Yahoo groups.  The sentiment and bicycle are from a set of unmounted rubber stamps that at this moment the maker's name escapes me.

This was a very simple card to make.  I chose the pattern papers from a paper pack Tim Holtz, Idea-ology.  It is a very nice set of papers with a weather distress look to them.  The three banners were cut strips that I ran through the Big Shot in a wood grain embossing folder. The brown paper with the binder holes is from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a very creative day.

Raspberry, Chocolate and Cream

I found this old Stampendous stamp in my collection today and I do not remember buying it but whats new!  I loved it's collage design and thought it was a great stamp for a vintage looking card.  I distressed the edges of the card, antiqued the lace and pearls.

The products I used for this card were

Copic Markers
Designer paper from my stash
Lace that I coloured a chocolate brown colour
Pearls that I added chocolate colour ink to
Happy Love Day sentiment stamp by Saavy stamps
Martha Stewart Hydrangea Punch

Thank you for stopping to take a look and I hope you have a very creative 2014.

Emboss Resist Technique

The Inky Fun Stampers is having a card swap this month and this is the card I made for the embossed resist technique swap.  For the background of my card I used a Stampin Up leaf stamp that I embossed in white embossing powder then rubbed on distress ink.

Next I used a platinum embossing powder on another Stamping Up image and coloured the background of the butterfly with three different colours of distress ink.  To complete my card I then added a friend sentiment by Stampin Up and a ribbon.

I like the colours of my card especially since I have been making  so many Christmas cards and projects.

Thank you for stopping by and have a very creative day.

I made this card for an upcoming card swap that had the theme of polar bears.  I just love this rubber stamp by Sue Coccia or Earth Art International.   I just love them all. The stamp is lovely to colour with Copic markers.  To create the background I cut a couple of layers of card stock that I embossed with a dotted emblssing folder and stamped the background with a set of tree rubber stamps that I had in my stash.

To complete my card I added flower soft to great a snow effect and give the card more of a winter scene.

Easel Challenge at Fitztown

This is my Thursday DT card for Fitztown's current challenge to create an easel card.

It  was fun making this easel card with this Santa image from the winter collection at Fitztown. I first coloured my image with my Copic Markers and a glitter pen.  I used part of a Christmas present rubber stamp by Hampton Arts  to keep my Santa image standing on my card and then added a couple of sentiments, glittered snowflakes and bling to complete the card.

Remember there is still time to enter the challenge just pop over to the Fitztown challenge blog and enter your card.

Have a creative day

Christmas Sparkle Challenge at Sisterhood of Crafters

I am excited to be a guest designer this week at Sisterhood of Crafters and I have created this Christmas card for their Sparkle Challenge.

I love silver and blue  combo on a Christmas card.  To created my card I used this lovely Christmas Bell image from Fitztown.  The image was just right for this swap .  I coloured the image with Copics and glitter pen then die cut the image with a Memory Box layering die.  I mounted the image on light blue glitter paper and added some rhinestones and a ribbon.  Doesn't my card just sparkle.

Hope you will join in this sparkle challenge and remember to check out the many exciting images at Fitztown.  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day.

Monochromatic Challenge at Fitztown

It is time for my second card for the monochromatic card challenge at Fitztown. I chose a rose image called FL1 from the floral collection at Fitztown

I printed the image on pattern paper then I used Copics to add some colour.
Next I cut out the image and layered it on several pieces of pattern paper in the monochromatic colours. I faux stitched around the out side of the card and used distressed ink to the edges of the paper to give the card some dimension.

My final step was to embellish my card with a ribbon, tag sentiment, and butterfly.  There is still time left to enter the challenge at Fitztown this week.  Hope over to their blog and see the other cards the design team have made to inspire you.
