Stamping with Bleach Challenge

This is my card for the latest challenge over at Get Inky! Challenge Blogspot
The challenge this week is to use bleach on your card. There is still a little time to create your card  and enter it here.

Get Inky has some wonderful stamps that can be used in a wide range of formats.
These are the ingredients I used to make my card.

Stitched circles and  sentiment from Get Inky Stamp Set, Click Here to see them.
Green and Brown card stock from my stash
Flower, pearls and ribbon from my stash
I first made a pad of paper towels pour the bleach on the pad.  I then stamped the several different sizes of the stitched circles on to the brown card stock.  The bleach turned the stamped image a nice soft yellow colour. Very pretty background I think.  My last step was to assemble my card.

I hope you pop over to the challenge blog and submit your creation made with the stamping with bleach technique. There are some wonderful stamps up for
grab.

Sweets for My Sweetie

This is my project for this weeks button and bows challenge at Fitztown.  I had fun making my goody box with this sweet image from the Valentine digital collection of Fitztown called Valentine 11.  I think the little hearts on the bottom of his feet are so cute.

I used my Cricut to cut the box for the project. The image was coloured with a combination of Copic Markers, Krylon gold leafing pen, and glitter pen.   The sentiment came from my stash along with the button.  To complete the card I added ribbon, a bow and some bling.  I love the look of the box.  I think I will give it to my grandson for Valentines day with chocolates inside of course.

There is still time to join this challenge and I hope you will.

Queen of Hearts Blog Hop and Challenge at Quietfire Creations

There is a Queen of Hearts Blog Hop and Challenge at Quietfire Creations this week.  I thought this image I had in my stash called Her Majesty the Queen of Hearts that I purchased from Scrapbooks Stamp Society was perfect for the challenge.

I stamped and embossed in gold the background of my card with Quietfires Flourishes. I cut out my image with one of the Gold Majesty Circles dies and coloured the image with my Copic Markers.  I edged th image in gold, added a little glitter and some Diamond Glaze on the scepter.

To complete the card I added a paper ribbon and some embossed heart stamps.

I Love Your Style

I made this card for a card swap at Technique Junkie.  The idea of the swap is to use one of the tutorials from one of their newsletters.  I chose to use the Shadow Title  tutorial for this card.  I stamped a crackle stamp on my card stock then with my scoring tool I created a grid pattern.  My next step was to create a shadow effect on the tiles with distress inks.

Once I had my background completed I added some burlap ribbon, added some pendants, sentiment and this lovely stamped image of these ladies dressed in I think clothes of the 50's.  The stamp is part of a wonderful group of stamps that I got to choose from when I won a challenge at the Fashionable Stamping Challenge.   The stamps are by a company from Australia called Flonz

Thank you for stopping by to take a look and I hope you have a very creative day.

Valentine Cupcake

There is a Valentine/Love challenge at Get Inky! Challenges this week and I created this cupcake card for the challenge. The lovely stamps for this card can be found here

What a fun card to make. I used a very old technique using shaving cream to represent the icing on the cupcake and to colour the hearts.  I added red ink to the shaving cream cream and stirred up the mixture until it looked like fluffy pink and white icing.  For the bottom of the cake I made the mixture very light and added it to some card stock that was cream in color and some what glossy. I stamped my images and sentiment with black Stazon ink.

To complete my card I embossed the background with a Sizzix heart embossing folder, added a white glittered ribbon, a butterfly and some bling. Now my card is ready for my sweetie.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join in the challenge.  Just create your Valentine/love card and enter it here.

Love that Animal Print

I found this hairdresser image at Faery Ink Art & Design.  My fiend was looking for a birthday card for her friend that was a hairdresser and I thought this image was perfect.  Her friend is a flamboyant red head and we thought this image suited her personality.

I  used Copic Markers for the colouring and then just added layers of animal print pattern papers, bling, a sentiment and some ribbon to complete my card.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day.

CAS Challenge

Ir is a clean and simple card challenge this week at Come and Get It Challenges.  This is a hard challenge for me because I like to pile it on.  To make my card I used this Stampenous stamp called Agapanthus Cluster Flower Floral that I have had in my stash for a very long time along with a sentiment stamp from Stampin Up. The flower and card stock are from Stampin Up and the colour is called Bermuda Bay.   I think it is such a pretty colour.

To complete my card I just added a couple of coordinating strips of  paper , pearls and a vellum butterfly.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join us at Come and Get It this week.
